Having researched and interviewed plastic surgeons for almost 20 years in the US and Canada, it was not until I met a client who had work done by Dr. Pastor that I was able to make a commitment to have work done.
Why did I wait so long? Breast augmentation surgery has become one of the most popular surgeries done, and I have had relatives who had experiences which were less than desirable. I wanted to look natural and symmetrical and get the post-surgical care which does not exist in the US.
After months of exchanging email and phone conversations with Dr. Pastor’s assistant, we reached agreement on the work to be done, the timeline and what my expectations would be.
I arrived in Costa Rica, was picked up by Carolina immediately and met with Dr. Pastor within the hour. He asked me what “I WANTED” and he listened. It was very reassuring not to have someone tell me what I wanted to do. However, I appreciated his conservative approach as well as his strict guideline for post-surgery. The hospital and the staff were amazing in terms of care. I stayed two nights as I opted to have a couple of more procedures done once I became more comfortable with the entire team.
The recovery house served wonderful food, provided a nurturing and quiet atmosphere to allow you to relax and heal.
When I returned home, I was hesitant to make my first “appearance”. However, my friends and clients were amazed at how natural I looked, and how well rested I was overall. The lymphatic drainage massage therapist I see (who has extensive experience working with breast cancer patients) has commented that she has never seen such good work and that this doctor “must be an artist, you look perfect”. This is pretty high praise from someone who sees reconstructive surgery on a very regular basis.
I have recommended Dr. Pastor and his staff to 5 of my friends and clients. I would not hesitate to contact his staff if I needed anything and the response to any email is received within the day.
Overall, something which could have been extremely difficult to handle, became much easier due to the professionalism and expertise of Dr. Pastor and his staff.
