Abroad Orthopedic Surgery Procedures in Costa Rica

Costa Rica Newlook offers a broad range of orthopaedic surgery procedures performed by specialists and sub-specialists in their fields. Amongst the orthopedic surgery procedures offered include:

• Repair or resection of torn cartilage (meniscus)
• Reconstruction of anterior and posterior cruciate ligament (ACL)
• Removal of inflamed lining (synovium)
• Repair of torn ligaments
• Removal of loose bone or cartilage

We include orthopaedic surgery on ankles, knees, hips, wrists, elbows, shoulders, and hands.

Many of these procedures are performed by arthroscopic surgery, a surgical procedure in which the inside of the joint can be evaluated and treated using surgical instruments placed into the joint through small incisions (portals) measuring one centimeter or less (less than half an inch).
