Dr. Guzman is a surgeon with special expertise in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology. He his a specialist in the treatment of Colon Cancer, Thyroid Cancer and Breast Cancer. He was chief of Surgery in the Oncology Department from 2000 until 2007. He continues in active practice.

Dr. Guzman works closely with a team of radiologists, pathologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and with his father and mentor Dr. Luis Guillermo Guzman Loria to provide treatments that are individually tailored to each patient. Throughout his career, his clinical and research interests have focused on surgical oncology.
